Wilfred Adams Russell
Wilfred Adams Russell was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly, being the member for Dalby from 1923 to 1932.
He was the owner of Jimbour Station, with the tile being transferred in January 1925. He undertook extensive renovations of the house and property, and hosted an official re-opening on 21 November 1925.
Wilfred Adams Russell also built the Hotel Russell in 1926. The hotel was on the corner of Cunningham & Roche Streets, Dalby, and is now known as the Russell Tavern.
In 1927, Mr. Russell donated 1000 acres of land in the Bunya Mountains to the people of the Dalby district, which was to become known as Russell Park. Following the death of Mr. Russell in 1932, the Russell Memorial Drinking Fountain at Munro's Camp was unveiled in his memory.
