Government Organisations
Description
Description
Government organisations in the Western Downs have played an important role in the social and economic development of our towns and localities.
Prior to the establishment of Western Downs Regional Council in 2008, the Western Downs was governed by six local government areas, each with their long and distinguished histories.
This collection of images explores the history of local government in the Western Downs and remembers the men and women who often devoted many years of their lives to serving their communities.
