William Wood was born in England in 1828, and served as the Mayor of Dalby from 1883 to 1884, and again from 1887 to 1888.
William Wood, nicknamed "Hungry", was the licensee of the Criterion Hotel from 1865-1868, and the Golden Fleece Hotel from 1868-1889.
