Ralph Alexander Adams was the second Chairman of the Murilla Shire Council, being elected Chairman in 1913.
During his tenure, the Condamine and Columboola Bridges were finished, and a sanitary service was established in Miles.
Ralph Adams left the Murilla Shire Council in 1914 to serve in the Australian Light Horse during WWI. At the time of enlisting, he was nearly 46 years of age.
Ralph Adams served as a Lieutenant throughout the war and was medically discharged in 1918.
