Philip Bougoure

Philip Bougoure began with the Tara Shire Council in 1953 as a junior clerk, was appointed Shire Clerk in 1969, and became CEO of Tara Shire Council in the 1990s. He was elected Mayor in the 2004 Council elections, and was the last Mayor of Tara Shire Council.

Major works completed during Philip Bougoure's tenure as Mayor included opening of the refurbished Tara swimming pool & a new water treatment plant for the township of Tara.
