Patrick Joseph Hogan was born in Lowood, Queensland in 1886.
He came to Dalby in 1906, and shortly afterwards was articled to Mr. Victor Drury. He commenced as a solicitor on his own account in Dalby from 1913 to 1920, then relocated to Ipswich for eight years. In 1928, he returned to Dalby and reopened his practice in Cunningham Street, where he continued practicing for many years.
Patrick Hogan served a term of office on the Dalby Town Council for three years and was elected Mayor in 1918.
In his early years, he was a good cricketer and athlete, and was a particularly good high jumper.
Patrick Hogan died in 1936 at the age of 50 years.
