Leo Bishop

Leo Bishop began with Murilla Shire Council as a Councillor from 1967 to 1979. He was elected Chairman in 1985, and during his tenure the Nine Miles Creek Bridge, the Jim Corbett Bridge, and a highway between Condamine and Miles were constructed.

Chairman Bishop was to be the last Chairman of the Murilla Shire Council, with the next incumbent to be known as Mayor.
