Duncan Sturrock

Duncan Sturrock began with Murilla Shire Council as a Councillor from 1946 to 1958, and again from 1964 to 1971. He was Chairman of Murilla Shire Council from 1971 to 1985.,/p>

During his tenure as Chairman, significant water supply changes were implemented in the district, with the construction of the Dogwood weir, and in 1985, the Duncan Sturrock Bridge was built.
