Charles Harvey Fuller

Charles Harvey Fuller, MBE was born in Toowoomba on 15 July 1915. His grandfather, Thomas Birkett, was the proprietor of the 'Chinchilla News', having purchased the newspaper in 1909 from Mr J. H. Braddock.

Harvey Fuller became managing editor of the 'Chinchilla News' for many years, and served as Councillor, Deputy Shire Chairman, and Chairman of Chinchilla Shire Council from 1961-1981.

Fuller Place in Chinchilla was named after Harvey Fuller on 14 December 1978, in recognition for his services to the community.
