The image shows two men in one of the four huts constructed near Jimbour House for the Transit of Venus expedition in 1882. One man is standing on a box & appears to be adjusting a telescope, & the other man is sitting on a raised wooden seat while looking into the telescope.
The man standing is Charles Grover, & the man seated is Cuthbert Edgar Peek. The raised seat is stamped 'C. E. Peek Esq.'
