The Club HotelHistory
Mulholland's Hotel was the first of the two-story hotels in Jandowae. The hotel was built in 1913 by Tim Tovell for William Thomas Mulholland, and was located on the corner of George & Hickey Streets.
The building was constructed of wood and iron and was built for £2500. In 1924 and 1930, attempts were made to burn down the hotel by persons unknown.
The name of Mulholland's Hotel changed to the Club Hotel prior to 1917, but continued to be known as "Mulholland's", or the "Top Pub" by locals.
