Louisa Coles was the daughter of Mr. John W. Coles, who came to Dalby in 1870, and was the first baker to commence business in the town.
Louisa married Richard Radford in 1889, and they had five daughters, including Daisy, who married Joseph Wenham in 1919.
As Louisa had lived in Dalby since she was 6 years of age, and having attended the Dalby State School, she was one of the few who saw the rise of the town and district since its very early stages.
