Leonard Charles Overington

Lennie Overington was an independent garbage collector in Dalby, starting his business in 1949.

He was hired by Dalby businesses to remove sundry unwanted items, which he would sell or give to those in need. He collected goods on a purpose built self-propelled vehicle, which resembled an extended tricycle.

At the time, Lennie Overington claimed to be Queensland's only private garbage collector.
