George Henry Gleeson was born in Stanthorpe in 1891, and was a Chinchilla resident when he enlisted in WWI. His WWI record listed his wife Margaret as his Next of Kin, and their place of residence as 'Newport", Chinchilla.
George Gleeson survived the war and returned to Australia from England on board the H. T. "Boonah" in June 1919.
