Eliza Eastaughffe (nee O'Brien) was born in 1854 at 'Terryboo' homestead, on the Condamine River.
Her father was engaged in the carrying trade before the S & W railway had reached Dalby in its long push into the Western interior, and like many of Queensland's pioneers, the O'Brien family penetrated the virgin bush in the covered wagons of the teamsters.
Eliza O'Brien married Frederick Clarence Eastaughffe, and continued to live in Dalby after her husband's death in 1889.
Eliza Eastaughffe died in 1928 at the age of 74 years.
