The Tara Honour Board, in front of newly completed Tara Soldiers' Memorial Hall, was unveiled on 15 April 1921. This took the form of a procession of returned soldiers in uniform, under the command of Captain Bilson, DSO. This body of men were marched to the front of the kiosk which covered the Honour Board.
When the order "Stand at Ease" had gone forth from their Captain, the men stood, as did the remainder of the assembly facing the board, in front of which stood Councillor A. W. Adams (Chairman of the Shire) and Councillor W. Kentish, to whom had fallen the honour of preforming the ceremony.
Mr Adams then unveiled the board, and the Last Post was sounded by Mr Dave Smith. Every head was bowed in memory of those who had gone, never to return.
