In December 1911, the Commonwealth purchased an area of 2 roods in the town of Warra as a site for a new post office. The cost was £22 1s. 10d., inclusive of all fees.
In March 1912, the State Public Works Department, which supervised Federal Works, accepted the tender of W. Gilbert for the erection of a post office at Warra. The amount of the tender was £1287.
