Dalby was an early home for Presbyterianism in Queensland, with services being held from the mid 1860s in the Court House.
The first St. Thomas' Church was located in Patrick Street, and built on a site purchased by members of the church. The church was a wooden structure measuring 25ft by 21ft, and was designed to seat 130 people.
On 9 April 1933, the foundation stone for a new church was laid by the then Premier of Queensland, the Hon. W. Forgan Smith. The new church was built on the corner of Condamine & Archibald Streets, on a site purchased by the church committee. This building still stands and now forms part of an early learning centre.
In 1992, St. Thomas' Church was superseded by the Worship and Ministry Centre, located on the corner of Condamine & Patrick Streets.
