St. Joseph's Presbytery was adjacent to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cunningham Street, Dalby.
The presbytery was officially blessed and opened on 29 June 1930 by his Lordship, the Right Rev. Dr. J. Byrne, Bishop of Toowoomba.
The building was regarded as one of the best, and most up to date presbyteries erected in either the Toowoomba or Brisbane dioceses at the time.
Built in a U shape, the new presbytery was built entirely of brick around a central courtyard. This provided good ventilation, with each room in the building having access to the courtyard and the surrounding verandahs.
