The Jandowae Soldiers' Memorial Hall, originally erected in memory of those who served in World War I, was officially opened on 3 July 1925 by Mr W. J. Vowles MLA.
The proposal to erect such a memorial had been initiated in 1921, but serious drought in 1922-23, caused the project to be delayed.
In 1925, tenders were called for the erection of the hall, and it was then built at a cost of £2000. The hall was destroyed by fire on 10 March 1934, and the Honour Board inside the building was also destroyed.
The Jandowae Soldiers' Memorial Hall was rebuilt in 1935 and is still in use to this day.
