The Ehlma State School (No. 588) opened on 14 April 1913 and closed in 1964.
The school was located on the northern corner of Ehlma Boundary Road and the Warrego Highway, near the Ehlma Railway Station.
After closing, the old school building was relocated to the Chinchilla Airport, and was then moved to the Brigalow Recreational Grounds, circa 2000's.
The old school building is currently being used as a clubhouse for the Brigalow Tennis and Cricket Clubs.
