The Hotel Grande was a wooden hotel located on the corner of Cunningham & North Streets, Dalby.
It is unknown when the hotel was built, however the licensee in 1939 was Mrs. Agnes O'Toole.
On the night of 27 December, 1961, the Hotel Grande was destroyed by fire. In a newspaper report from the time, it was stated that flames swept though the £15,000 hotel, leaving only part of one wall standing. The licensee, Mr. Don Andrews & his wife, were awakened by the sound of breaking glass. Mr. Andrews got up to investigate, then ran back to the hotel's living quarters at the rear of the building. He assisted his wife & two children to safety & then re-entered the burning building to save a bag of money.
The cause of the blaze was unknown.
The Dalby Hotel Motel was later built on the site.
