In 1917, the Dalby Ambulance Committee decided to purchased a property and erected a permanent ambulance centre and superintendents residence. A site in Stuart Street was secured, and shortly afterwards the buildings were erected.
The site was closed in 1958, with the opening of a new building in Cunningham Street.
