The Dalby Agricultural College opened in 1979 and amalgamated into the Australian Agricultural College Corporation (AACC) in 2004, along with the Longreach Agricultural College, the Burdekin Agricultural College and the Mareeba Agricultural College.
The school offered a wide variety of courses ranging from Certificate to Diploma that primarily focused on agricultural related subjects. The College also provided a residential/boarding capability for up to 116 students. AACC continued providing similar courses to that previously provided by the College until the property was closed in 2010, with the facility being transferred to the Dalby High School in 2011.
The Dalby TAFE also shared the facilities at the College for automotive and welding courses. Following the transfer of the College facilities to firstly the AACC, and then the Dalby High School, the Dalby TAFE continued to provide automotive & other associated training on the campus.
The Dalby State High School continues to utilise the old Ag College facilities to provide rural orientated courses, as well as operate the only State High School with a residential/boarding capability.
